We are not currently ISO 9001 certified (our certificate expired on 2025-09-08). Material test certificates to EN 10204 3.1 — issued by the material mill and supplied with the raw material we purchase — and third-party salt spray test reports are available on request, subject to batch availability. Beyond documents, NewSiyuan Tube, a tube bending factory in Guangzhou, provides first article inspection reports for new parts, with wall thinning inspected against a 15% maximum and ovality against an 8% maximum on standard bends. This page lists which documents we can provide, which we cannot, and how to verify our claims.
Buyers lose most time on documents, not on parts. A supplier lists everything, the buyer plans around it, and the certificate turns out to be a mill certificate from a different heat, or a test report from two years ago. This page separates what is produced in our own workshop from what depends on someone else.
| Documents we produce |
First article inspection report — every dimension called out on your drawing, measured value beside nominal, issued before the batch is released. Full dimensional sheet — the batch measurement record against the same drawing, as a file. Packing check record — quantity, wrap, frame and carton condition before the order closes. Machine traceability — the machine that ran the part, by asset number. |
|---|---|
| Documents we pass on | EN 10204 3.1 material test certificate — issued by the material mill, not self-issued by this tube-bending factory. Available when the raw-material batch came with one and the requirement was stated in the RFQ. |
| Documents arranged per order |
Third-party salt spray test report — state the required standard, duration and reporting requirement. Laboratory, duration and lead time are agreed for that order. Third-party inspection — scope, provider, buyer-paid cost and timing planned into the schedule before the order is placed. |
| Certifications we do not currently hold |
ISO 9001 — expired 2025-09-08, no renewal status claimed. EN 1090 — we do not offer EN 1090-certified structural steelwork. IATF 16949 — not held, and no PPAP submission is prepared. CE conformity — our tube parts do not establish conformity for a complete machine, vehicle or rail system. |
EN 10204 3.1 is an inspection certificate with specific test results, signed by the manufacturer's authorised inspection representative. In a bending shop the relevant manufacturer is the mill that rolled the tube, not the workshop that bent it. A factory that says it "issues 3.1 certificates" is either restating a mill certificate or has misunderstood the standard.
| Who issues it | The material mill. It travels with the raw material and refers to that heat and batch. |
|---|---|
| What we do | Pass on the mill certificate supplied with the batch we purchased, when the requirement was agreed before ordering. |
| What decides availability | The batch. Tube bought without a certificate cannot acquire one afterwards — the test results belong to the mill's production record, not to the bending order. |
| What is not 3.1 | A mill test report you printed yourself, a statement of conformity, or an ISO 9001 certificate. None of these is EN 10204 3.1. |
If your customer requires 3.1 on every delivery, say so on the first enquiry and keep it on repeat orders. Availability is confirmed per batch before we accept the requirement — the company facts page states the same limit.
A salt spray result belongs to one coated sample, one test standard, one duration and one laboratory. It is not a property of the factory. A 96-hour neutral salt spray report on a zinc plated bracket says nothing about a powder coated crash bar, and nobody credible will hand you a report before the coating and the standard are agreed.
| What to state | Test standard, duration in hours, which part and which coating, and whether the report travels with the goods |
|---|---|
| What we arrange | Commissioned test at a third-party laboratory against the agreed standard, with the report issued to you |
| What we do not claim | No fixed duration, no standing report, no laboratory named in advance of the agreement |
| Where the coating happens | Plating, powder coating, painting and mirror polishing are carried out by partner companies, not in our workshop. Grinding, sandblasting and electrolytic cleaning are done here. |
If you can only ask for one document, ask for this. It is produced before the batch is released, on your drawing, with measured values rather than a pass stamp. It is the reason a part can be argued about with numbers instead of opinions.
| What is measured | Every dimension called out on the drawing — bend angles, centreline radii, tangent lengths, cut lengths, hole positions, and wall thickness at the outside of each bend |
|---|---|
| When it is issued | Before the batch is released. A dimension out of tolerance sends the tooling back, and a second article is measured |
| What it is not | Not a certificate of conformity, not a third-party inspection, and not a substitute for your own incoming inspection |
| Reading one | Look at the deviation column, not at the pass column. A dimension that sits at the edge of its tolerance on the first article will sit outside it on the last |
The tolerance figures behind the report are set out in full on the tolerance page, including what one degree of angular error works out to in millimetres.
| 1. Ask for the report on a real part | Not a sample report from an old job — the first article on your drawing, before the batch. A supplier who cannot produce one on your part does not have the process. |
|---|---|
| 2. Check the certificate's issuing party | On a 3.1 certificate, read the header. If the mill is not named, it is not a mill certificate. |
| 3. Check the dates | Certificate expiry, test report date, and the date on the dimensional sheet. An expired certificate presented as current is the single most common misrepresentation in this trade. |
| 4. Put it in the RFQ, in writing | Document requirements stated after the order are the ones that turn into disputes. Stated before, they are priced and planned. |
The inspection workflow itself — who measures, when, and against what — is described on the quality page. The one document we issue ourselves, and the one that carries most of the weight where a system certificate is missing, is the first article report.
General information only — not engineering advice. Suitability for a specific application, load case or service environment must be confirmed by the buyer's engineer.
Tell us what has to travel with the goods — mill certificate, dimensional sheet, test report — and the reply will say which of those we can confirm for your batch.
