Handrail and Guardrail Tube Components | Bent Posts, Corner Bends, Ø4–150 mm

We make the tube parts that go into handrail and guardrail systems: handrail bends, corner bends, bent posts with welded base plates, connecting pieces and mounting brackets. Round, square and oval tube from Ø4 to Ø150 mm, wall 0.8–5 mm, in carbon steel, 304 / 316 stainless, aluminium and copper. Every part is made to your drawing — one piece for a sample, or a short batch for a project.

We make the tube parts, not the finished railThis is the first thing to get straight, because it decides whether we are the right supplier for you.

A guardrail on site is a system: posts, rails, infill, fixings, anchors and a code that governs the height and the spacing. Assembling and installing that system is a different business, done by fabricators and contractors who work on site. What comes out of our workshop is the bent and welded tube that goes into it — the parts a fabricator would otherwise bend by hand.

Bending limits, tolerances and lead times are on tube bending services: Ø4–150 mm, wall 0.8–5 mm, prototype in 3 days, production 25–40 days.

Two parts that show the rangeA stainless post with a welded base plate, and a batch of bent frames waiting for welding.

Bent stainless steel handrail post with welded base plate
Stainless post, bend at the top, base plate welded and drilled. Post height and hole pattern come from the drawing, not from us.
Bent tube frames stacked ready for welding
A batch of bent frames before welding. Repeatability across the batch is what a project schedule depends on.

How the part is specifiedFive lines on a drawing are enough for a quotation.

TubeOutside diameter, section (round / square / oval), wall thickness, material grade
BendAngle, centreline radius, tangent length on each leg, and how many bends on one tube
EndsCut square, cut to angle, coped, drilled, threaded or capped
AttachmentsBase plate, bracket, cross bar — with thickness, hole pattern and weld position
FinishBrush, sandblast, powder coat, mirror polish or bare. Position in the process matters: brushing happens before bending, coating after welding

Mirror polish is only quoted after we see the part: on a bent tube the inside of the bend and the weld root cannot be reached by a polishing wheel, and we will say so before the order rather than after.

Limits — read these before the enquiryIf you need the opposite of any of the following, we are the wrong supplier and it is cheaper to know now.

  1. We make the tube parts, not the finished rail system. No complete guardrail supply, no site assembly.
  2. We do not install. No anchoring, no levelling, no site work of any kind.
  3. We do not set handrail height or post spacing. Both follow the code where the project is built.
  4. We are not a stockist. No catalogue elbows, ball joints or standard fittings off the shelf — every part starts from a drawing.
  5. Bending stops at Ø150 mm. Larger tube can be cut here, not bent.
  6. Finish is chosen by you. We do not offer a fixed menu; we say which finishes are reachable on your part.
  7. No price without a drawing. Radius, wall, material and quantity all move the figure.

Questions from fabricators and project buyers

Do you supply complete handrail systems?
No. We make the bent tube parts that go into a system — handrail bends, corner bends, bent posts and connecting pieces. Assembly, post spacing and installation belong to the fabricator on site. If you need a finished rail delivered and fitted, we are not that supplier.
Do you set the handrail height or post spacing?
No. Both follow the building code where the project is built, which is not the same in every country. We machine to the dimensions on your drawing and hold them. Design responsibility stays with you.
Can you match an existing rail profile?
Yes, if you send the tube size, wall and the radius you need to match. We check it against the dies we hold. A radius we do not have means a new die, about 2 weeks, before the first part is bent.
Which stainless grade for an outdoor rail?
304 is usual for inland and urban sites; 316 is specified for coastal and de-icing-salt exposure. We bend both. Grade choice and any salt-spray requirement are yours to specify — we can test and report on request, we do not decide the grade for you.

Send the part drawing. We will tell you whether it is a bending job.

Tube size, wall, radius and how many pieces. If the radius needs a new die, you hear that in the first reply along with the lead time.
